Lord willing, Augusta Counseling Ministry will host a conference introducing the topic of Counseling in our Assemblies. The venue will be Fairhaven Ministries in the mountains of Tennessee on April 25-28, 2024. Featured speakers are Paul Rabideau, an Elder and New Jersey Licensed Professional Counselor who supports CMML missionaries and Tammy Hollingsworth, a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and the Executive Director of August Counseling Ministry.
Paul and Tammy will be offering guidance to interested elders, their wives, and other church and ministry leaders on how to recognize mental health problems, the need and opportunity for counseling ministry in the assembly, and how to best respond.
Seminars will range from an Introduction to Counseling Ministry to practical advice and aids for dealing with a range of counseling issues including addictions, depression, anxiety, child abuse, family/childhood trauma–all topics that church and ministry leaders are likely to face in their ministries.
